Principal's Message

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year at Vista del Mar TK–8!

As I begin my second year as your principal, I am incredibly grateful to be part of such a dedicated and supportive school community. Last year was filled with growth, new traditions, and countless moments that reminded me what makes Vista del Mar such a special place. I am excited to continue building on that momentum together.
With more than 20 years of experience in education as a teacher, coach, and administrator across both elementary and secondary schools, I remain deeply committed to creating an environment where every student feels safe, valued, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential.

At Vista del Mar, we believe that strong relationships are the foundation of student success. We will continue fostering a positive school culture through engaging learning experiences, meaningful celebrations, school spirit, and opportunities for every student to connect, lead, and belong. From our youngest TK students to our 8th-grade leaders, every MAKO plays an important role in our school family.

This year, our focus is on building our village together. We know that it truly takes a village to help children learn, grow, and thrive. By working in partnership—students, families, staff, and our greater community—we can create an environment where every child feels known, supported, and empowered to achieve their very best. Through open communication, mutual trust, and meaningful collaboration, we will continue to strengthen the connections that make Vista del Mar such a special place.

Thank you for your continued trust and partnership. I look forward to another incredible year of learning, growth, and celebrating all that makes Vista del Mar extraordinary.

Here's to another amazing year of Making Waves the MAKO Way!
